Spiegelkwartier
Across the bridge opposite the Rijksmuseum you will find this historic neighbourhood with its typical old Dutch houses. For more than 80 years already, the area has been the heart of the national art and antiques trade. There are only a very few places around the world where you can find such an amazing array of art objects and antiques. There is a large selection of objects, ranging from archaeological finds to 17th century furniture, glass and Delft ware pottery, Eastern art to Art Nouveau, folk art and contemporary art, from old medical instruments and clocks to jewellery, paintings and old master pieces. All this is displayed by over 70 specialist art and antiques dealers.

De negen straatjes (The Nine Little Streets)
This area close to the Ambassade Hotel, has for centuries assumed an intimate and strongly trade-oriented character. Here you will find 190 very diverse shops and businesses, that are often quite unique of their kind, addresses for bric-a-brac that you only buy once in a lifetime. A mix of the festive, creative, nostalgic, practical and artistic and even if the goods may be commonplace, the premises are still so very special.
Leidsestraat
This shopping street runs right across Prinsen-, Keizers- and Herengracht, linking the most popular areas for going out. Shoppers, workers, people having a meal out and street artists are constantly coming and going.
