Alkmaar Cheese Market

The cheese market in Alkmaar is known all over the world for its traditional trade in cheese, which has taken place there since the 14th century. There are 22 cheese markets held at the Waagplein every year, from mid April to mid September.

Flower Auction

Here you can see how auctioning is conducted in the world's largest flower auction. Day after day, the world market price of flowers and plants is determined anew in the Aalsmeer auction halls. Millions of flowers and plants find their way to customers all over the world. You can visit the auction in the morning between 07.30 and 11.00 hrs.

Keukenhof

Each spring time, millions of tulips and other bulbous plants are again in full bloom in the 32 hectare large park. It is a fantastic sight to experience and to photograph! A unique display of colour in the dazzling setting of traditional and modern garden architecture. Keukenhof has grown to become one of our country's best known places and one of the world's most photographed attractions. The Keukenhof is open during the spring.
