Allard Pierson Museum

This is the archaeological museum of the University of Amsterdam. The aim of this museum is to make classical Mediterranean antiquity accessible to both scientists as well as the general public and young people in particular. The museum shows original archaeological finds and other objects as one of the sources of Western tradition in order to promote an understanding of past and present in the context of cultural history. The museum is located at a walking distance of 5 minutes from the Ambassade Hotel.

Het Amsterdams Historisch Museum (The Amsterdam Historical Museum)

The Amsterdams Historisch Museum has since 1926 provided a home for the art treasures of the city of Amsterdam, a historic collection, starting from the 17th century. Here you will find over 45,000 items, reflecting the history of the city. The Amsterdams Historisch Museum is located at a walking distance of 2 minutes from the Ambassade Hotel.

Het Anne Frank Huis

Anne Frank, who during the Second World War perished in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp, became famous throughout the world through the publication of her diaries. The former hiding place of Anne Frank and her family during the Second World War, is now a museum. The museum tells of the fate of the eight persons hiding there and of the people who supported them. Anne Frank's original diary is permanently on display.
