The Ambassade Hotel has several function rooms and meeting rooms, providing a range of opportunities for organising a successful event.

For groups of 6 to 100 guests, we offer a wide range of canapés, drinks and all you need for a successful meeting or event.

The Ambassade Hotel has always had close ties with the publishing houses in and around Amsterdam. Many publishers use the Ambassade Hotel as a base for their foreign authors who visit Amsterdam when they release a new book. The interviews that go with the release are often held in one of the Ambassade Hotel’s interview rooms.

For you too, the Ambassade Hotel is the ideal place for organizing interviews.

We will prepare the best suitable interview room for you in accordance with your wishes.


Would you like to dine with an exclusive group of guests in a room that offers privacy? That is possible at Ambassade Hotel's "Brasserie Ambassade". Almost all rooms offer an amazing view of the canals.

On request, we can prepare one of our beautiful private dining areas for you to accommodate a group from 6 to 40 guests. This way, a great evening in an intimate setting is guaranteed.

Do you have something to celebrate? Would you like to organise a reception, a book launch or a lecture? In that case the Library Bar is perfect for you. It can accommodate groups of up to 40 guests. You can choose to have a buffet of beverages, drinks served, or order-at-the-bar. Any canapés will be presented in a buffet or served. If you indicate your preferences, we shall comply.

Our Library Bar houses a special collection of over 4000 signed books by authors who all stayed at the Ambassade Hotel. Among these authors you will find famous names such as Umberto Eco and Isabel Allende, and almost all of the Nobelprize for Literature winners of the past years.


The Library Bar is adjoined by the CoBrA Lounge. It is ideal for a boardroom setting for a group of 6 to 12 guests. The CoBrA Lounge is perfect for an undisturbed meeting, for interviews, or presentations. Private dining is also possible in the CoBrA Lounge. Please contact usto discuss the various options.

This room is named after the CoBrA movement (1948-1951). Alongside the CoBrA artworks and part of our book collection, you will also find a special display case that holds the 23 Ambassade Hotel guestbooks. Over the years these guestbooks are filled with unique dedications from the many famous authors, musicians, artists, architects and philosophers who stayed in the hotel.


The Wolvecamp Lounge is located on the ground floor of the Ambassade Hotel. This small stylish lounge is perfect for interviews or business meetings of up to 6 guests . Be inspired by the many unique works from the CoBrA period (1948-1951).

This room is named after the CoBrA artist Theo Wolvecamp, whose work forms the heart of the art collection of the Ambassade Hotel. Theo Wolvecamp was often called the silent force behind the CoBrA movement. The Ambassade Hotel owns around 500 artworks by the artist, both paintings and works on paper.


With a beautiful view of the Herengracht, you can enjoy a stylish dinner in Brasserie Ambassade’s private dining room “Room 14″. We could prepare one large table (max. 14 guests) or two smaller tables (max. 20 guests) for you.

The name “Room 14″ refers to the fact that this stylish room with a view of the canal and was for decades a hotelroom – number 14 – with its own street entrance.

Only a 150 metres walk from the hotel, the stylish meeting facility “The Embassy” is available at Singel 328. The birthplace of Ferdinand Domela Nieuwenhuis, this historic building now serves as a luxurious boardroom for 6 to 12 persons, where you can imagine yourself living in the Golden Age.

Please do not hesitate to ask for more information about the meeting facilities and the various arrangements. Lunch can be served in the Brasserie as a welcome break in your busy schedule or, if preferred, in the meeting room itself.

In the Ambassade Lounge you will find some of the larger artworks of the Ambassade Hotel’s art collection, such as the beautiful 2 meter high oil painting “Gabriel” bij Theo Wolvecamp, made in 1968-1969. Also in this lounge, the colourful painting “Natlungen” by the Danish Cobra-artist Mogens Balle from 1955.
